  1. Describe what happened to each type of fork bird over time.

What i have observed from the fork birds is that when the number of tined in the fork birds increased the amount of cheerio that were eaten. As you can see on the graph it shows that the 4 tined fork bird and the 1 tined fork bird increased while the 2 tined fork bird decreased.

2. Which fork bird was the most successful? Use your data to support your answer.

The fork bird that was most succesful was the 4-tined fork birds because at first on generation 1 it started on 0 and then on generation 10 it ended on 46. The 4-tined fork birds increased from 0-46. The 2-tined fork birds could of been successful but first it started high on generation 1 it started at 94 but then on generation 5 it started decreasing up to 57 but then it started decreasing more up to generation 10 which ended on 34.

3.Battling Beaks simulates the idea of NATURAL SELECTION. Based on what you did in class, your data and questions 1 and 2, what do you suppose natural selection is?

Based on what I did in class I think Natural Selection means the process by which forms of life having traits that better enable them to adapt to there specific environment.

4.As a result of heavy rains, the major food source for fork birds is now blueberries. After many generations, how many types of fork birds do you think there will be? What will the fork birds look like? Explain your answer.

The type of fork birds there would be is the four tine fork birds and the two tine fork birds because on the graph it shows that they seem to get a lot of food to survive and not like the 1 tined for bird which they dont get alot of food to survive.

5.The cheetah, an extremely fast and efficient hunter, is an endangered species. The few cheetahs alive today show very little variation. How does this help to explain why cheetahs are on the verge of becoming extinct?

This helps explain why the cheetahs are on the verge of becoming extinct. The cheetahs are on the verge of becoming extinct because if they don't change what they do or adapt to the environment then they can become extinct.
